“Introducing King Magic, a male rapper with a love for music from the age of eight. Born in Columbus the rapper is into making rap music and has an awesome flow and rhythm. After pursuing his love for music, the artist was able to release his first single on March 29th, 2019. Music is something that King Magic believes he has been doing from since as far back as he can remember. His parents were the most important role models he had and one of the most important factors for him having a love for music. His father taught him how to work independently and stand on his own, which served as one of the main reasons that he was never part of any gangs. The neighbourhood he grew up in had a lot of them, but his OG who was a friend of his father’s always looked out for king. He knew that King had the heart for music and pushed him to focus on his music and kept him out of all the negative factors around. Today, King believes that it was because of his OGs blessings and his parents that he was able to focus and pursue his love for music, allowing him to make something out of it today.
The lyrics to King Music’s songs are deep and with meaning. They are driven by the lyrics while complementing the beat. There is a message in the music that he makes and uses it as a form of communicating the story of his life compressed into moments of time. In an interview with us King stated that he would describe his music as ‘street poetry. When it comes to producing his music, King likes to start off by using music, current events, or a phrase he heard someone say as inspiration. Once something clicks, he writes down his idea and works on it until he is able to compile it into a song. After being able to compose the first song, the next two to five songs come to him naturally from that.
King feels that music has always been a form of relaxation for him and a release from the environment. When he saw his cousins recording an 8 track in front of him, the artist knew that this is exactly what he wanted do. When his cousins did not allow him to record with him, it motivated him further. Soon, King Music aims at growth and promises his listeners that they will be able to see it from here. As he is proceeding on this journey, he is learning with every step he takes.
