Chris (born March 1st, 2002) better known by his stage name ‘Dio’ is an American reggaetonero, hailing from Atlanta GA, Chris is an independent artist.
Started making music in his junior year of high school with his buddy. His friend came up with the idea and Chris just decided to give it a shot, he bought a Band they went to other friends of his who had a computer and they just started messing around. He released a song but was just his voice on top of the beat, neither mixed nor mastered, and released it on SoundCloud, and didn’t promote it as he was brand new to this whole new thing. During Chris’s senior year in 2020 when covid hit, they stopped their school year in mid-March because of Covid, he’s just been working ever since. Around September 2021 he had a buddy that asked Chris if he was still working on some music and the same buddy that he started with back in his Jr. year but he didn’t have a mic or computer and he just focused on soccer, around that time he started a new job and while he was at his job, he would put his headphones on start hopping on random YouTube beats trying to find different flows and would record them in his voice memo on his phone. Christmas came and Chris’s brother bought him a mic he borrowed his old laptop and it started from there.
Delivering his first Single in May 2022, named ‘Yo Sé’, with his main genre of music being Reggaeton/Dancehall.
Chris came up with the name ‘Dio’ while on an acid trip. He realized that God gave us a powerful tool in life: the mind. One can do anything if one puts their mind to it and if one shows dedication and discipline. Do what you love with passion and love. We control our life; we are the movie directors of our life but through the will of God. So ‘Dio’ is “god” but in Italian, and one of his favorite anime is called “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures” and the villain is called “Dio” so it all clicked together. Ever since then, all his tracks will be released under his Stage name.
He describes his music as very vibey and catchy. Something that you can play at the events, and it will make it, even more, the merrier.
His creative process involves him hopping on beats and recording himself mumbling or saying random words or repeated lines just to get the flows altogether, once Chris’s done doing that, he gets all the flows together and starts writing lyrics over those flows that he recorded and then record the flows with the actual words after. He knows and tells himself that every day won’t be a good day, some days you will get something done, some days you won’t, some days you will come out with the best verse, and other days you won’t be able to come up with anything but it’s all about the effort and work you put in, it’s as discipline > motivation. Progress is better than no progress.
Chris’s inspiration to make music is something that he can always pour out his feelings to, whether it’s a good day or bad, making music for other people to hear is amazing, not only do they hear what he gotta say but some people can relate to it and that’s a beautiful part about making music. Making music is something that he never thought he would really love and now he’s here really doing it, trying to work hard with love & passion. But if we’re talking about WHO-inspired him then it would have to be ‘Rauw Alejandro’.

People can expect a bunch of new music, content, and videos. Chris is going to be working on reggaeton because that’s just something he always wanted to do, but something you can expect later in the future for sure is he will be diving into other genres because he will become more diverse in making music. And he will keep working hard to reach the stage that few do.
