Akhil Penumudi (born Oct 5th, 1995) better known by his stage name Brown Mamba is an Indian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born in India, lived in Singapore till he was 5 years old, and then moved to San Diego been here ever since, He is an independent artist and has his own label ‘Mamba Mentality.’
He started making music in his junior year of college at the University of San Diego, with his main genre of music being Hip-hop, Brown had to find his own path to being different from all his peer rappers and producers.
Akhil was heavily inspired by Kobe Bryant, as he was the black mamba, so he decided to name himself brown mamba. Ever since then all his tracks are released under his Stage name.
He describes his music as unique sound when ppl listens, they tell Brown his voice is unique and sound euphoria to their ears. That’s what helps him stand out in the music industry. Unique sounds and Unique project themes with his alliteration’s album.
During Brown’s first three years in music, he was releasing a few projects and didn’t see much traction. During covid of 2021, he released a song with 24hrs and Dylan Reese which gave him a big boost. He now has features with Jay Critch, 24hrs, and Dylan Reese and released a collab with Yo Gotti as part of his label’s rap Dolla go Dolla challenge. Brown has had great growth on Spotify and has had his song go viral on Tik Tok, with more than 1500 videos on Tik Tok. His albums have also been charted on iTunes and his alliterations album is currently on the iTunes pre-order charts. He graduated from the University of San Diego with a biochemistry degree and did a chemistry internship in solvothermal synthesis.
