Maurice Finley, better known by his stage name RF Keys is an American Audio Engineer, Writer, Singer, and Rapper. Hailing from THE SOUTHSIDE of Chicago, IL, having his own music label “Fall Back Music Group”.
Started making music in November 2010, delivering his first Single on November 28, 2010, Maurice has been continually putting out tracks from that point onward. With his main genre of music being Hip Hop and R&B.
His homie’s manager kept calling him “Keys” instead of “Reese,” so, he turned it around to something he could stand. RF Keys is an acronym for “Reese Find Knowledge Everywhere You Seek”. Ever since then all his tracks are released under his Stage name.
Maurice describes his music, lyrics, and vocals from the heart, with the intention to inspire or spark the fire THE LISTENER has inside.
His creative process is a box within boxes. He sits back for about 2 hours asking himself “What do he want to say? How much can he reveal from his experiences without harming other people involved?” Then he has his concept. From his concept, Maurice builds the overall message, and he builds songs inside that, and in those songs, he tries to place quotable that make you think about the major concept.
Maurice went from lower mid popularity High School kid to one of the more popular guys at his college, got kicked out of college, lost everything, and turned to music to rebuild himself. Then he had to build the music so people would like it as much as he loved making it.
His inspiration to make music comes from his favorite person as a kid, and his favorite teachers/mentors after that. They entrusted Maurice with this beautiful language we call music and to carry the torch forward.
People can expect a bunch of new music, content, and videos. Maurice is going to be creating thought-provoking music and verses until I literally cannot breathe anymore and he will keep working hard to reach the stage that few do.
